No Insurance Headaches:
Get an appointment right away and get on your way back to the normal active lifestyle you love.

Direct Access:
Reach your PT directly via phone, text messages, or email with any questions or concerns you may have .

Less Expensive in the long run:
As deductibles and co-pays continue to rise, our flat rate, fee-for-service model can save you both time and money. Additionally, there will never be any surprise bills in the mail down the road.

Time Saving:
We know how valuable your time is. Due to our ability to treat 1-on-1 with patients, we typically see patients for far less visits than traditional outpatient therapy clinics. Traditional therapy has a reputation for seeing patients 3 times per week for 8 or more weeks. We often see patients for 1-2 visits per week, and your entire visit is 1-on-1 with your Physical Therapist. This is because our model focuses on training you to manage your condition independently which means rarely will you have to attend PT multiple sessions per week.

Strickland Physiotherapy and Wellness operates outside the confines of insurance limitations. Insurance will often restrict services to a specific injured part rather than treating the person as a whole. It also undervalues the importance of both prevention and high-level performance as these services are typically not covered. At Strickland Physiotherapy and Wellness there are “No Limits” to your care. Your treatment is 100% tailored to meet your needs, and we focus on training you to independently manage your condition rather than being dependent on frequent follow-up appointments.

While Strickland Physiotherapy and Wellness is out-of-network with your insurance, if you have a condition that warrants physical therapy intervention or other services typically covered by insurance, a detailed invoice (called a super-bill) will be provided to you at your request so you can file with your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. You can get more information regarding your out-of-network physical therapy benefits by calling the number on the back of your insurance card.

The best way to learn about your potential reimbursement would be to call the number on the back of your insurance card, and ask “what are my Out-of-Network Physical Therapy benefits?” Here is a helpful guide to help you gain some insight into what to expect:

We accept cash, debit card, credit card, health savings accounts (HSA), and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). We are happy to discuss payment plan options as well. It is our policy that payment is made at the time of service.

Because our philosophy is one of education, empowerment and independence, our clients typically end up saving money in the long run by receiving treatment at Strickland Physiotherapy and Wellness compared to traditional PT settings. This is because our model focuses on training you to manage your condition independently which means rarely will you have to attend PT multiple sessions per week. A typical frequency and duration at Strickland Physiotherapy and Wellness is 1-2 visits per week for 3-6 weeks vs. a traditional model of 3 visits per week for 6-8 weeks.
Because 100% of your sessions will be one-on-one time with a doctor of physical therapy, you will get more out of each session compared to the standard model in which most PT’s are double or triple-booked during your appointment.
Remember that if you have a high deductible that hasn’t been met, and you are receiving PT in a clinic that is in-network with your insurance, you will still be required to pay the full session fee until you meet your deductible. Therefore, our model of training you to independently manage your condition will save you money with fewer visits and less time away from work or home.

Medicare will not pay for our services as we are not a participating provider with Medicare or any other insurance company. We only agree to work with Medicare clients for fitness, prevention, and wellness goals (which are not covered services under Medicare). You will not be able to submit for reimbursement as our services do not meet the rules set by Medicare regulations. Therefore, any receipts you may request will not include diagnosis codes and other information that Medicare claims usually posses.

The number of sessions required varies depending on the patient and their specific condition. Most of our patients only need between 4-10 visits. A more accurate estimation can be made after your initial evaluation.

No. Georgia and Alabama are direct access states and that means you can come directly to PT without a prescription from your doctor. However, in the state of Georgia, you will need a doctor’s referral after 8 visits or 21 days, which ever comes first. In the state of Alabama, individuals seeking treatment who are paying cash have direct access to physical therapy services without any restrictions.

In most cases, no. We will discuss your injury history more on your discovery call and will determine if imaging is needed prior to your evaluation. If you’ve already had imaging done, we may ask you to send us a copy to review prior to your appointment.

We are located at 6100 Veterans Pkwy Suite 13B, Columbus GA 31909 inside of the Iron CrossFit 360 gym.

If you prefer, we offer mobile services as well. Whether it’s your home, office, or somewhere else, it is the responsibility of the patient to ensure the location is accessible and appropriate for the treatment provided.

It’s best to wear workout clothes and tennis shoes.

Physical therapy evaluations, wellness assessments, and follow up appointments are 60 minutes.

Recovery sessions (Dry-needling, scraping and blood flow restriction) are available for either 30 min or 60 min sessions.

At SPW, we strongly believe in training for longevity, therefore we rarely “discharge” patients. You are always encouraged to come back and check in with us at any time- whether it is because of pain, needing exercise progressions, or just have a question. We are here to help motivate you and keep you accountable, no matter what stage of recovery you are in. We will begin long term planning at your very first visit, because we want you to get better and stay better.

Once you have met your rehab goals and no longer need Physical Therapy, we encourage you to transition into a wellness program. The progress doesn’t end just because your PT sessions do, and this is the perfect way to keep yourself accountable.
